Let's protect our local environment by properly disposing of our Household Hazardous Waste at our next collection event on Saturday, June 21st, 2025 from 9am-2pm at Chesterton High School. Please enter at 11th Street. Proper disposal of hazardous waste is crucial to protecting public health and preserving the environment. Hazardous waste often includes materials that are flammable, corrosive, reactive, or toxic. Examples include cleaning supplies, oils, chemicals, and fertilizers, which can pose significant risks if not handled correctly. It's important not to dispose of these items in regular trash bins or down drains, as they can contaminate water sources and harm wildlife.
