Michigan City, Indiana – Horizon Bank is proud to announce the return of its annual community-wide volunteer initiative, Horizon Cares Day, taking place on September 16, 2025. For the third year in a row, all Horizon Bank branches across Indiana and Michigan will close for the day as nearly 800 Advisors step away from their desks and into their communities to volunteer at more than 80 nonprofit organizations.

This dedicated day of service reflects Horizon’s ongoing commitment to giving back. From packing food boxes and painting homes to supporting local shelters, Advisors will lend their time to support causes that matter most in their neighborhoods.

As part of the celebration, Horizon will also recognize outstanding team members through its annual Advisor Awards. Two honors will be presented: the Beyond Ordinary Leadership Award, which celebrates Advisors who lead with innovation and vision, and the Go Beyond Community Service Award, which honors those who have made a lasting difference through their volunteer efforts.

Horizon Cares Day is just one way the bank shows up for the communities it serves. By closing branches and encouraging hands-on involvement, Horizon is proud to support local organizations and highlight the Advisors who make a real difference throughout the year.
