Jersey Mike's Crown Point Day of Giving Raises $2,800 for United Way Northwest
Valparaiso, IN – August 22, 2025 – Jersey Mike’s Subs in Crown Point turned sandwiches into support during their annual United Way Day, donating 50% of all sales to United Way Northwest Indiana. Thanks to the generosity of customers and the dedication of the Jersey Mike’s team, the effort raised a total of $2,800 to support programs that help local families achieve stability and success. United Way Day reflects Leeth Management’s ongoing commitment to giving back. Under the leadership of owner George Leeth Sr., the Jersey Mike’s team continues to build on a tradition of generosity—with United Way Northwest Indiana as their beneficiary to ensure local families receive the support they need.
“Giving back is part of who we are at Jersey Mike’s,” said George Leeth Sr., owner of Jersey Mike’s Subs. “We’re proud to support United Way Northwest Indiana and the work they’re doing to help families across our region. It’s about more than just great food—it’s about making an impact where it matters most.” The $2,800 raised will directly support United Way Northwest Indiana’s work across four key pillars:
• Financial Stability – helping families gain the tools and resources to build secure futures.
• Youth Opportunities – expanding access to education, mentorship, and growth opportunities for
young people.
• Resilient Communities – providing critical support in times of crisis or need.
• Healthy Communities – improving access to health and wellness resources for everyone.
“This partnership shows what happens when businesses and community members come together—real impact,” said Kristina Fry Vice President of Development at United Way Northwest Indiana. “We are so thankful to Jersey Mike’s and to every person who grabbed a sub on June 13. Together, you’ve made a lasting difference for our neighbors in need. These dollars will go directly into programs that lift families up and move our entire community forward.”
United Way Northwest Indiana serves thousands of households each year, ensuring individuals and families have access to vital services. Support from local businesses, like Jersey Mike’s, not only bring in critical funding but also raise awareness about the importance of community support. “We truly believe that United Is The Way,” Fry added. “Whether you give financially or volunteer your time, you’re part of a much bigger story—one where the entire community rises together.” United Way Northwest Indiana invites the community to continue their support by learning more about volunteer opportunities, donation options, and upcoming events at www.unitedwaynwi.org.
