HIGHLAND, IN — May 6, 2025— Humane Indiana Resale is welcoming a new vintage treasure

trove to its Highland store. Local business owner Karen Maravilla, the face behind It’s Just

Serendipity in Downtown Hammond, will begin consigning hand-selected vintage items at the

store—merging her love of timeless pieces with a powerful purpose: supporting animal well-

being.

“It’s Just Serendipity” is known for its carefully curated vintage finds, charming home décor,

and unique gifts. Now, shoppers at Humane Indiana Resale will enjoy Karen’s signature style

while knowing that proceeds from every purchase directly benefit the homeless and injured

animals cared for by Humane Indiana.

Humane Indiana Resale is located at 8149 Kennedy Ave, Highland and open Monday through

Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm; and Friday and Saturday, 9 am to 6 pm. Every item purchased

helps provide shelter, medical care, and rehabilitation for the animals Humane Indiana serves.
