Volunteers Needed for Northwest Indiana Earth Day Celebration
Porter County, IN – As the world continues to grapple with environmental challenges and
changes, Earth Day serves as a reminder of our collective responsibility to protect the planet we
inhabit. On Saturday, April 12 th , 2025 from 9am-1pm at the Porter County Expo Center, the
Recycling and Waste Reduction District will host its 17 th annual Earth Day Celebration. And we
need your help to make it a success!
The Recycling District is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join us in creating a memorable and
impactful event. Volunteers will play a crucial role in helping us promote environmental
awareness, engage the community, and celebrate the Earth.
We have several volunteer shifts available to accommodate a variety of schedules:
Friday, April 11 th , 2025: 10am-1pm
Saturday, April 12 th , 2025: 8am-11am
Saturday, April 12 th , 2025: 11am-2pm
Saturday, April 12 th , 2025: 8am-2pm
Volunteers will assist with setting up and breaking down event stations, guiding attendees
through activities, distributing educational materials, and more. This is a fantastic opportunity to
meet like-minded individuals, gain valuable experience, and contribute to a worthy cause.
